Carbofilm coated infrapopliteal stent on RX balloon
Dedicated for infrapopliteal lesions, InPeria Carbostent is indicated for treating patients suffering from symptomatic chronic ischemia at the infrapopliteal level (arteria tibialis anterior, arteria tibialis posterior, arteria fibularis and tibio-fibular trunk), characterized by ischemic pain, claudication, ulcers and/or trophic lesions with risk of amputation, with the aim of improving or resolving the above complaints.
Proven efficacy in randomized trials have shown:1
- Significant long term statistical results in the assessment of the importance of the InPeria Carbofilm stent in the treatment of infrapopliteal occlusions
- Major differences in patency have been discovered after 6 months which favours stenting, patency rate (at 50% restenosis threshold) at 6 months over 30% better than PTA
- Stents for infrapopliteal arteries are a feasible treatment modality and will improve ulcer healing, limb salvage and the global status of patients with critical limb ischemia
