Finding the time and budget dollars to provide continuing clinical education for critical care staff can be a challenge. This self-paced program offers the flexibility for clinicians to complete the program at a time that is convenient for them and at a pace that is conducive to individual learning needs. In addition, it provides an opportunity to deliver critical care education without the added cost associated with traditional classroom instruction, such as clinical staff down time and additional personnel to provide clinical coverage during class time.
When this program is completed as a pre-requisite to a Datascope sponsored IABP program, the time spent in the classroom is focused on more interactive, hands-on learning specific to the theory and technology of counterpulsation therapy.
